Since 1821, West Florida has been producing remarkable law officers. Formal training classes began in the 1930s, long before they were introduced in other locations, and the training has been improving since. Officers in the western panhandle of Florida soon began training at the same school. Many times, officers from different agencies had basic as well as advanced and specialized training together. It made for a better working relationship. This book uncovers the paths taken from the first training class to today’s exceptional academies.

Includes photos of every law enforcement and corrections class that graduated from West Florida’s George Stone Criminal Justice Training Center. Corrections Classes #1-125 and Law Enforcement Classes #1-69 are included.

Corrections Academy #125
Law Enforcement Class #69

Many old photos and pictures of instructors and even some old classes from the Pensacola Police Department and Pensacola Junior College, plus a complete history of the law enforcement and corrections training classes in our area.
