The streets around Plaza Ferdinand may look peaceful today—but long ago, they witnessed stories of mystery, violence, investigation, and justice.
The crimes featured on this tour occurred between 1833 and 1914. These are historic cases from Pensacola’s distant past, carefully researched and presented with respect for the victims, families, witnesses, police officers, and court officials connected to them.
These are not modern tragedies or sensationalized headlines. They are part of our city’s history.
They belong to Pensacola’s streets, buildings, newspapers, families, courtrooms, and forgotten corners. Many of these stories have nearly disappeared with time, but they still help us understand the people, laws, dangers, and daily life of early Pensacola.
