Understanding the Past. Preserving What Matters

I have spent much of my life studying, writing about, and living within the world of law enforcement. Along the way, I have come to understand that history and story are not separate—they are two ways of preserving truth.

Some accounts are best told through careful research and documentation. Others are best understood through the telling of a story. Both serve a purpose. Both ensure that what happened is not forgotten.

This work is divided into two distinct areas: the history of law enforcement and the telling of true crime stories. Each stands on its own, but together they provide a fuller picture of the past.

Police & Law Enforcement History

The history of law enforcement is a record of service, responsibility, and leadership. It reflects the men and women who stood in their time to maintain order, protect their communities, and carry out their duties—often under difficult circumstances.

In West Florida, that history runs deep. It includes the early days of frontier lawmen, the development of structured policing, and the evolution of modern law enforcement practices.

Through research, writing, and speaking, I work to preserve that history so it can be understood, respected, and carried forward.

Sweet Tea Murders: True Crime

True crime stories offer a different perspective. They reveal moments when lives changed in an instant—often shaped by decisions, emotions, and circumstances that still resonate today.

These stories are told with care and respect, grounded in historical fact and informed by real-world experience. They are not meant to sensationalize, but to help people understand what happened and why it matters.

When told properly, these stories do more than recount events—they provide insight into human nature and the realities of the world we live in.
