Sweet Tea Murders LIVE: Wanted in Texas, Captured in Pensacola — John Wesley Hardin

August 27 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
$35.00

Long before the Wild West became the stuff of movies and legends, John Wesley Hardin had already carved his name into history. Wanted for murder and relentlessly pursued by Texas lawmen, Hardin fled with his family, assumed another name, and attempted to disappear right in our very midst – along the Alabama–Florida border. But his past was following close behind.

Join Michael Earl Simmons—former homicide detective, police historian, and author—for the true story of Hardin’s violent rise, his hidden years in West Florida, and the dramatic confrontation aboard a train in Pensacola that finally ended his life as a fugitive.

Told in the distinctive Sweet Tea Murders style, this carefully researched presentation separates the documented history from the legend while following the outlaws, lawmen, and local residents caught in the path of one of the Old West’s most notorious gunfighters.

Sweet Tea Murders LIVE: Wanted in Texas, Captured in Pensacola—John Wesley Hardin will be presented at the Voices of Pensacola Multicultural Center, located at 117 E. Government Street in downtown Pensacola—just 500 feet from the site of Hardin’s dramatic capture.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., and the presentation will begin at 6:00 p.m. and conclude at approximately 7:30 p.m. A question-and-answer session with Michael Earl Simmons will follow. Sweet Tea Murders books and merchandise will also be available for purchase.
