Every seat at the table is officially spoken for.
Sweet Tea Murders LIVE: “The Last Stop: The Final Capture of Ted Bundy”—taking place November 12, 2026, at Pensacola’s Museum of Commerce—is officially SOLD OUT!

To everyone who reserved a place: thank you. You have turned an evening of local history into something truly special—a gathering of people who value the real stories behind the headlines and want to honor the men and women who helped bring a killer to justice.
On November 12, we will take you back to the cold, predawn hours of February 1978, when Pensacola Police Officer David Lee confronted a suspicious figure whose name would become infamous. This story belongs as much to the officers who stood their ground as it does to the fugitive they brought down: a story of grit, split-second instinct, and a violent hand-to-hand struggle on a quiet Pensacola street.

When we launched Sweet Tea Murders, our commitment was straightforward: to present authentic historical investigations stripped of cheap sensationalism, profanity, and theatrical gore. True crime doesn’t need embellishment when told through the clear lens of an investigator who walked the beat. The overwhelming response to this Pensacola case proves that our community values substantive, respectful forensic history.

A Familiar Face Behind the Barbecue
An evening of Southern storytelling calls for genuine Southern hospitality, and we are proud to partner with Elden Scott, a longtime, familiar face from Sonny’s BBQ in West Florida. Elden will be on hand personally to serve our dinner on November 12, pairing an authentic Pensacola evening with slow-smoked barbecue, iced sweet tea, and warm fellowship. Our sincere thanks go out to Elden and the Sonny’s team for helping us make this season finale unforgettable.

History in the Room: Retired Officer Clayton Ard
Adding an irreplaceable, living connection to that fateful night, retired Pensacola Police Officer Clayton Ard will be joining us in person. Officer Ard was the very first backup unit to arrive on scene on W Street while Officer Lee was actively wrestling Bundy on the shoulder of the road. His presence serves as a powerful reminder that the figures in these case files are not distant characters in yellowed newsprint—they are real, brave officers who faced down lethal danger in our own neighborhoods.

Special Guest: Prosecutor Len Register
We are also deeply honored to announce another extraordinary guest for the evening. Former prosecutor Len Register will be with us on November 12. Register served on the elite prosecution team in Orlando that secured Ted Bundy’s first-degree murder conviction and death sentence for the 1978 abduction and murder of 12-year-old Kimberly Leach. Nine years later, on the morning of January 24, 1989, Register stood inside Florida State Prison as one of the official prosecution witnesses to Bundy’s execution in the electric chair. Having someone in the room who helped seal the legal fate of America’s most notorious serial killer will offer insights few audiences will ever hear.

With a catered barbecue dinner, cold sweet tea, a commemorative mason jar, and an investigative case dossier at your table, our guests will have plenty to discuss—and a piece of history to take home.
Missed This One? The 2027 Season Is Coming
If you missed your chance to grab tickets for November 12, don’t worry. We are already deep into planning an expanded, reimagined slate of live programming for next year.
In 2027, Sweet Tea Murders will present an exclusive season of eight intimate dinner presentations:
- LIVE Evenings in Downtown Pensacola: Four distinct investigative evenings staged in the historic brick heart of the city at Voices of Pensacola.
- Arcadia Nights: Four atmospheric, strictly limited-capacity evenings set against the historic, secluded water and timber backdrop of Arcadia Mill.
We are completely redesigning the 2027 live experience to bring you deeper into the room. While the exact case dossiers and calendar dates remain sealed for now, you can expect an immersive dining atmosphere, enhanced physical evidence files, and table-level investigative debriefs where you weigh the clues and test your own detective theories before the historical outcome is revealed.
Because both venues feature strict seating caps to preserve an authentic, parlor-style atmosphere, reservations will go quickly.
Get Priority Access
To guarantee early-bird reservation access before dates and tickets open to the general public, subscribe to our newsletter at sweetteamurders.com. Newsletter subscribers receive the full 2027 schedule and first dibs on seating before the ledger opens to anyone else.
Until then, keep your eyes open, watch the shadows, and we’ll save a glass of sweet tea for you.

The streets still whisper.
